Yoga does not guarantee a perfect life, but it gives us the resources to face life’s challenges with equanimity.

About the Teacher

I teach a range of classes in Salisbury covering all aspects of yoga – physical postures, breathwork, relaxation, meditation and philosophy.

I have many years’ experience of teaching yoga to people of all ages and levels of fitness. I offer specialised classes for people suffering with back pain or affected by cancer.

I qualified to teach in 1997 with the Iyengar Yoga Association. I completed a foundation in Yoga Therapy with the Yoga Biomedical Trust and am a registered teacher with Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs. I continue to study with teachers at the forefront of the science of yoga.

I am fascinated by the meditative aspects of yoga. I trained to teach yoga nidra and meditation with the Satyananda School of Yoga in London.

I have studied and taught philosophy and spirituality for many years.  I was Director of Spirituality Programmes at Sarum College. I studied Indian philosophy with the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and completed an MA in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation at SOAS University, London. I am still exploring the rich texts of the yoga tradition.

I love teaching and sharing the many benefits of yoga with others. Do get in touch if you’d like to try a class. I’m always happy to discuss what kind of class will best meet your needs.
